About the Role
As the Account Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of CEE's groundbreaking project, "Sustainable Circularity in Plastics - Rural & Urban Landscapes." This initiative, in partnership with HDFC Bank, focuses on creating decentralized, community-led solutions for waste management. By establishing Dry Waste Material Recovery Facilities, the project transforms waste from a problem into a valuable resource, creating local jobs and reducing carbon emissions.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring proper financial reporting to the donor and monitoring the project's financial health. Reporting directly to the Finance Officer, you will handle a range of tasks, including:
Vendor and Staff Payments: Managing monthly payments to vendors and handling staff reimbursements.
Accounting and Reconciliation: Maintaining daily transaction postings, reconciling bank and ledger accounts, and managing accounts payable/receivable.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensuring all financial transactions are coded correctly and supported by proper documentation, aligning with CEE and donor policies.
Financial Reporting: Preparing and submitting timely financial reports and assisting with audits.
Budgeting Support: Aiding in budget management and procurement planning.
Software Proficiency: Using Tally ERP-9 and MS Office to maintain accurate financial records.
Who Should Apply?
