💼 The Role: Accountant – Driving Financial Transparency

The selected Accountant will be a linchpin in managing SMGVS's financial systems across both the Head Office and various project locations in Jaipur and Bundi, Rajasthan. This full-time position requires a professional with 5–10 years of experience, preferably within the NGO or development sector.

The core mission of this role is to ensure financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance with both statutory and donor requirements, thereby directly supporting the organization's life-changing programs.

✨ Key Responsibilities: More Than Just Bookkeeping

As an Accountant for SMGVS, your expertise will be critical in:

• Financial Record Management: Maintaining meticulous books of accounts, ledgers, and vouchers in full compliance with accounting standards.

• Reporting & Analysis: Preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and donors.

• Compliance Expert: Handling all aspects of statutory compliances (TDS, PF, GST) and coordinating with auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.

• Project Finance Support: Managing project-wise fund utilization and providing crucial financial support to project teams, including budget preparation and expenditure monitoring.

• Daily Operations: Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, including data entry, payments, and receipt management.

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: A robust 5–10 years of experience in accounting, with a significant preference for exposure to NGO/development sector project accounting.

• Tech Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with key accounting software like Tally ERP, MS Excel, and online banking operations.

• Knowledge Base: Sound understanding of financial reporting, donor compliance, and project financial management.

• Core Competencies: Strong organizational, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• Language: Good communication skills in both Hindi and English are essential.

💰 Compensation and Application Details
