The Role: Accounts Associate - Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Associate will report to the Accounts Officer and serve as a cornerstone for maintaining precise and compliant financial operations. Key focus areas include:
Financial Verification and Compliance
The role demands a keen eye for detail in reviewing and processing all financial documentation. You will be responsible for:
Verifying Accuracy: Scrutinizing all bills, invoices, claims, financial reports, and fund requests for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary supporting documents are attached.
Compliance Checks: Confirming that all financial documents adhere to organizational policies, including correct cost codes and budget line items, and have the required approvals from respective State Heads and Program Officers.
Documentation Integrity: Ensuring all related documents, such as attendance sheets for training, trip reports, and original bills for travel, are properly submitted. You'll also verify that Purchase Order (PO) or contract numbers correspond to issued agreements.
Accounting, Reporting, and Coordination
A strong command of accounting software and financial principles is essential for daily tasks:
Tally Management: Recording all vouchers accurately in Tally, ensuring correct Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and appropriate cost center allocation.
Asset Management: Checking and verifying accurate fixed assets/inventory records.
Tracker Maintenance: Updating various internal trackers (communication, utilities, contracts, POs) and ensuring timely follow-ups.
Reporting: Preparing regular aging reports and diligently following up on any long-outstanding items.
Inter-Team Coordination: Serving as a finance point-person, coordinating effectively with C3's State teams and external consultants on all finance-related matters.

Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably within the social sector.
Education: A Commerce Graduate is the minimum educational requirement.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally and MS-Excel is mandatory.
