Role Overview

As an Assistant Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of a 10 MT cattle feed plant. Your responsibilities will span the entire production process, from managing raw materials to overseeing the quality of the final product. You'll be tasked with maintaining operational efficiency, minimizing costs, and ensuring that all production and packaging standards are met. This includes regular surveillance of raw material availability and prices, as well as managing the supply chain for materials like packaging and spares.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will be diverse and challenging. You will be responsible for:

  • Production Management: Overseeing the plant's operational readiness and production planning to ensure an uninterrupted supply of finished goods.

  • Quality Control: Ensuring that the quality of both raw and finished products meets the specified standards.

  • Cost Management: Computing and managing costs to maintain the plant's operation at a minimal cost.

  • Inventory & Logistics: Managing inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods, and ensuring their safe storage.

  • Compliance & Maintenance: Ensuring all statutory compliances are met and undertaking timely preventive maintenance of the plant.

  • Marketing & Administration: Taking on additional tasks like marketing extensions for cattle feed and managing administrative records.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a graduate in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Dairy Husbandry, or a related field. An MBA in Agribusiness Management will be a significant advantage. You should have a proven track record of at least three years in cattle feed production operations. Your compensation will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience.
