The Role: Assistant Manager-IT

Based in Gurugram, this is a contractual position for one year, with potential for renewal based on project needs. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Senior Manager with a dotted line to the Manager-IT.

Key Responsibilities and Impact

The Assistant Manager-IT plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing THF's technological backbone. You'll be instrumental in:

  • Strategy & Support: Assisting the IT department in developing and executing the organization's IT strategy and providing essential technical support and troubleshooting across hardware, software, and network systems.

  • Infrastructure Management: Overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and network infrastructure. Experience with server administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies is highly valued.

  • Security and Compliance: Ensuring the security and integrity of information systems, including implementing robust data backup, disaster recovery plans, and conducting regular system audits to address vulnerabilities. Familiarity with IT best practices and regulatory compliance is a must.

  • Project Leadership: Managing and coordinating IT projects from requirements gathering to timely completion, as well as collaborating with vendors for technology procurement and implementation.

  • Team Leadership: Providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluation to a team of IT professionals.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Working closely with various departments to understand their unique needs and implement solutions that boost operational efficiency and align with their social development goals.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this impactful role, candidates should possess:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a distinct advantage.

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT field, with proven expertise in system administration, network management, and project management.

  • Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, security principles, and excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Specific Knowledge: Familiarity with Android-based App and Web applications, Database Administration, Store Procedure Query, and Power BI Tools is a significant plus. Certifications like Network+, Security+, or project management certifications are also beneficial.

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, coupled with excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

Note: The role requires a readiness to travel to different states where THF operates its programs.
