The Role: A Catalyst for Change in Odisha

Since 2020, Quest Alliance has partnered with the Department of School and Mass Education in Odisha to bring computational thinking to over 400,000 students in more than 1,000 schools. This collaboration has been instrumental in mainstreaming crucial skills like coding and problem-solving across the state.

The Coordinator, Schools Program will build on this success, leading Quest Alliance’s strategic initiatives in Odisha. This senior role requires a blend of strong program leadership and technical expertise in areas like coding, AI, and career pathways. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader capable of influencing systemic change and solidifying Quest Alliance’s position as a key knowledge partner in the state.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Strategic Program Leadership: Lead the state-wide implementation of the schools program, aligning it with both Quest Alliance's vision and national education priorities. You will develop annual operational plans, drive their execution, and represent Quest Alliance at high-level government meetings.

• Ecosystem Strengthening: Cultivate and manage partnerships with government departments, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to expand program reach and sustainability. You will serve as the primary liaison with the Department of School and Mass Education.

• Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a dedicated team of program professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning. You will be responsible for recruitment, performance management, and building the team’s technical and leadership skills.

• Monitoring & Learning: Ensure robust data systems are in place to track program progress and inform decision-making. You will oversee the documentation of impact stories and contribute insights for donor reporting and policy advocacy.

Who We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have 7-9 years of relevant experience in program management, with a strong background in the education or ed-tech sector. A Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, or a related field is required.

Crucially, you should have a solid understanding of emerging technologies and future career readiness frameworks. Proven experience in engaging with government systems, managing multi-level teams, and leading large-scale programs is essential.
