The DevOps Engineer Role: A Chance to Make an Impact

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team on a part-time, pro bono basis. As a key member of our organization, you will contribute a minimum of 10-15 hours per week for at least six months. This is a unique opportunity to use your skills in automation, infrastructure, and security to support a platform that drives positive change for current and future generations.

What you'll do:

• Build & Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement automated pipelines for rapid, reliable software releases.

• Embrace Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform and Ansible to manage infrastructure programmatically, ensuring consistency and repeatability.

• Manage Cloud Infrastructure: Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and leverage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Develop Deployment Strategies: Define and implement strategies like blue-green or canary deployments to minimize downtime and risk.

• Integrate Security (DevSecOps): Incorporate security practices and tools throughout the entire software development lifecycle, from code scanning to vulnerability assessments.

Who we're looking for:

We need a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role. You should have a strong background in building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines and be a cross-cultural communicator who can collaborate effectively with a diverse, global team. Most importantly, you must be driven by the mission to use technology as a tool for social impact.
