About the Role
As the Finance & Admin Executive, you will be the cornerstone of Nayi Disha's financial health and compliance. Your role will go beyond traditional accounting, encompassing strategic financial planning, risk management, and ensuring adherence to complex Indian regulatory frameworks. You'll work closely with the leadership team to provide key insights that inform decision-making and propel the organization's mission forward.
This is a full-time, work-from-office position based in Hyderabad, with a flexible schedule of two days a week at the office.
What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Strategy:
Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow to ensure the smooth execution of projects and organizational goals.
Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the leadership team.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure complete compliance with the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), including timely filing of returns and reporting to the Ministry.
Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure all statutory audits are completed accurately.
Manage adherence to the Income Tax Act, GST, and other relevant financial regulations for NGOs in India.
Grant & Donor Management:
Take charge of grant finances, ensuring funds are allocated correctly and in line with donor guidelines.
Provide timely and accurate financial reports and utilization certificates to donors.
Maintain meticulous records of all funding sources to ensure transparency and accountability.
Who We're Looking For
Nayi Disha is searching for a dedicated and experienced professional who not only understands the numbers but also the impact behind them.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge: A deep understanding of financial management for NGOs in India, with specific expertise in FCRA regulations, statutory compliance, and tax laws.
Experience: At least one year of experience in financial management, with prior work in the non-profit sector being a significant advantage.
Education: A CA, ICWA, MBA in Finance, or an equivalent degree is required.
Skills: Proficiency with financial software like Tally or QuickBooks and strong command of MS Office. Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential, as you'll need to clearly explain financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
