Safe In India Foundation (SII), a Section 8 not-for-profit organization founded by IIM Ahmedabad alumni, is looking for a dedicated Finance & Compliance Senior Manager to join their team in Gurugram. This pivotal role offers the flexibility of part-time or full-time engagement, depending on the candidate's depth of experience and ability to take full ownership of financial outcomes.

Promoting Workplace Safety: Working to reduce accidents and improve productivity in manufacturing.
Social Security Access: Assisting injured or disabled workers in navigating ESIC (Employees' State Insurance Corporation) healthcare and compensation to ensure they live with dignity.
National Impact: Supporting the achievement of SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and improving ESIC services across India.
Currently, SII operates five Worker Assistance Centres (WACs) located in Gurgaon, Manesar, Faridabad, Mohan Nagar Chinchwad, and Chakan.
The Role: Beyond Bookkeeping
This is not just a data entry position; it is a managerial ownership role. The successful candidate will own financial governance, donor readiness, and the scaling of a reliable finance function across all centers.
Key Outcomes for Success:
Statutory Excellence: Ensuring zero missed statutory deposits or returns (TDS, EPF, ESI, PT) with documented checks.
Timely Reporting: Closing monthly accounts and bank reconciliations by the 5th of every month, including accurate cash flow projections.
Audit & Compliance: Managing statutory, internal, and donor audits, ensuring all observations are tracked to closure and repeat issues are eliminated.
Grant Management: Maintaining credible, timely, and donor-aligned grant cost allocation and utilization reporting.
Candidate Profile: Experience and Skills
Safe In India is seeking a leader with high integrity and a worker-centric sensitivity.
Experience: 8+ years in finance or accounting, with a strong preference for candidates from the NGO/NPO sector and those familiar with grant compliance.
Qualifications: CA Inter or strong accounting training is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally and Excel is essential for building MIS reports, cash forecasts, and reconciliations.
Leadership: Ability to supervise and coach Accounts Executives, creating a culture of discipline and continuous improvement.
Location and Compensation
Location: Gurugram (near Civil Lines) with periodic travel to SII centers as required.
Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and standard NGO salary scales.
