AERF is looking for a professional with a Master's Degree in Commerce from a reputable university and a minimum of two years of experience in the non-profit sector. This role is central to the organization's financial health, with a comprehensive scope of work that ensures accuracy, compliance, and transparency. The ideal candidate will be adept at using accounting software like Tally and have a solid understanding of fund accounting, donor reporting, and project-wise accounting.

Core Responsibilities: More Than Just Numbers

The Junior Accounts Manager will be responsible for a wide range of critical tasks, including:

  • Bookkeeping & Data Entry: Accurately record daily financial transactions, and maintain ledgers and journals for cash, bank, purchases, and expenses.

  • Voucher & Invoice Management: Prepare and verify bills, receipts, and payment vouchers while ensuring purchase orders match invoices.

  • Bank Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements and handle communication with banks for fund transfers and documentation.

  • Reporting: Assist in preparing crucial monthly and quarterly reports for both management and donors, as well as drafting utilization reports and fund status summaries.

  • Document Management: Maintain an organized system of hard and soft copies of all financial documents, ensuring they are readily available for audits.

  • Compliance: Support GST and TDS filings and help ensure compliance with all donor and FCRA regulations.

  • Petty Cash & Payroll: Oversee petty cash and, if applicable, assist with payroll processing, including monthly salaries and statutory deductions.
