A pivotal Role in Sustainable Development

As the MIS Lead at SwitchON Foundation, you won't just be managing data; you'll be instrumental in translating complex information into actionable insights. This role is crucial for strengthening the organization's Project Control vertical, ensuring that all ongoing programs are supported by accurate, standardized, and timely reporting. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and streamlining comprehensive MIS systems, ultimately empowering leadership, funders, and field teams with the knowledge they need to make informed strategic decisions.

What You'll Bring to the Table

SwitchON Foundation is looking for a candidate with 7-12 years of experience in MIS/Data Management roles, ideally within the development sector. Your expertise will be vital in:

• Developing and standardizing MIS systems across diverse projects.

• Collecting, cleaning, and validating data to ensure impeccable accuracy and consistency.

• Building and maintaining dynamic dashboards and automated reports using tools like Power BI, advanced Excel, and Google Sheets.

• Generating real-time insights that directly support performance tracking and strategic reviews.

• Collaborating seamlessly with MEL, Program, Finance, and HR teams to ensure data flow and alignment.

• Creating essential templates, SOPs, and data documentation to standardize processes.

• Designing and implementing automated data workflows to boost efficiency and minimize errors.

• Presenting complex data in clear, visual formats for diverse audiences.

• Building internal capacity through regular MIS training and ongoing support.

• Ensuring robust data security, privacy, and regular backups.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

• Proficiency in essential data tools, including AI, MS Excel (advanced), Power BI/Tableau, SQL, Google Sheets, and cloud-based MIS platforms.

• Proven ability to manage complex data systems and lead data-driven projects.

• Excellent command of English and Hindi, with a preference for candidates also proficient in Bengali.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Experience in cross-functional coordination and mentoring junior staff.

• A proactive, self-driven attitude, comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 80,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Official travel, accommodation, and logistics will be reimbursed as per organizational policy. The role involves limited travel, primarily for data audits, trainings, and system rollouts at field locations. You'll be reporting directly to the Head – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning.
