About the Role
The Monitoring & Documentation Assistant will be an integral part of the Prevention Strategies Team, reporting directly to the Team Coordinator. This role is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness and growth of Swayam's initiatives. The selected candidate will be responsible for meticulously tracking and reporting on program activities, outcomes, and progress. Key responsibilities include:
Data Collection & Analysis: Systematically gathering and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data from across the organization's three field offices.
Reporting: Contributing to the creation of detailed progress reports for management, funders, and other stakeholders, including monthly, quarterly, and annual narratives.
Team Collaboration: Working closely with all teams to maintain robust and consistent documentation practices.
Evaluation Support: Assisting in annual project reviews, planning workshops, and the overall implementation of the organization's monitoring, documentation, evaluation, and learning plan.
Who They Are Looking For
Swayam is seeking a candidate who is not only skilled but also deeply committed to their cause. The ideal applicant will have:
Experience: A graduate degree in Social Sciences with at least four years of relevant experience in the social sector, or a postgraduate degree with two years of experience. A minimum of two years in a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) position is essential.
Skills: A strong understanding of gender and violence against women issues, excellent analytical skills, and expertise in M&E techniques. Proficiency in data management tools like Excel is a must. The role requires strong written and oral communication skills in English, Bengali, and a working knowledge of Hindi.
Personal Attributes: The ability to work under pressure, take initiative, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. The role requires a candidate who is a team player, highly organized, and willing to travel and work flexible hours, including late nights and weekends when necessary.
