It collaborates closely with governmental bodies like the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, as well as state counterparts, leading CSR companies, and Unicef, to implement comprehensive public health programs across India.

Project Balvardhan Overview

Project Balvardhan is an anticipated initiative supported by the Anil Agarwal Foundation (Vedanta Limited). It functions as a holistic program under Vedanta's Nand Ghar (NG) initiative, which focuses on developing a network of modernized Anganwadis. These centers provide opportunities for development through nutrition programs, digital early childhood education, healthcare services, and activities for women's empowerment.

The project will be implemented in Rajasthan with the goal of strengthening Anganwadi services at the Nand Ghars. It is designed to use an integrated service delivery model for the holistic development of children. Furthermore, Project Balvardhan aligns with national flagship programs such as 'Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0' and 'Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi' to combat malnutrition in children (0-6 years) and improve learning outcomes for children aged 3-6 years.

Role and Responsibilities

The Project Associate will report to the Director of JSI R&T India Foundation and work under their guidance as the Technical Lead. The role involves close collaboration with Vedanta's Nand Ghar team and the State Manager to ensure the timely execution of project activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management and Communication: Assisting the Technical Lead and State Manager in creating presentations and communication materials. This includes preparing progress reports, success stories, and process documents for the donor and developing presentations for review meetings. The role also involves managing the project work plan against targets.

  • Database Management: Acting as the custodian of the project database , which includes data from baseline assessments, concurrent monitoring, the Nand Ghar Application, trainings, and community events. The associate will also manage a database of project activity photographs and photo/video consent forms.

  • HR and Administrative Support: Supporting the HR team in the recruitment process for the project's field team, including shortlisting CVs and participating in interviews. The incumbent will also handle administrative tasks such as organizing events, obtaining quotations, and reviewing bills for payment. Other duties involve scheduling team meetings, preparing minutes , and reviewing travel plans for the field team.

  • Coordination and Analysis: Following up with district teams for reports and data , supporting the analysis of project dashboards , and assisting in addressing donor agency priorities.

Qualifications and Compensation

Candidates interested in this position should meet the following qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in social sciences, social work, or a similar discipline.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in providing project support for public healthcare projects. Prior experience in nutrition or health programs is considered an advantage.

  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and expert-level proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly in drafting reports and presentations.

The monthly cost-to-company (CTC) for this position is INR 36,000. The project has an initial duration of two years, which is extendable based on project needs and extension. JSI Foundation particularly encourages women candidates to apply for this role.
