This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the promotion of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) and drive sustainable change in the region.
About the Role
We're looking to fill three Project Associate positions to help us build a more resilient and prosperous agricultural sector. As a Project Associate, you'll be at the forefront of our mission, working directly with farmers and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). This role combines fieldwork, community engagement, and strategic project management.
Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do
This position is dynamic and multifaceted, perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has a strong sense of purpose. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Community Engagement: You'll be the face of the foundation in local communities. This involves conducting crucial baseline surveys, mobilizing farmers, and organizing awareness programs to ensure project success.
Project Management & Reporting: You will play a vital role in the operational success of the project by preparing and submitting detailed weekly, monthly, and annual reports. This includes developing action plans, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), and progress reports.
Direct Farmer Support: Your work will directly impact farmers' livelihoods. You'll provide hands-on assistance to FPOs, helping them with critical tasks like marketing and branding their produce to secure better market access and prices.
Fieldwork: Regular visits to project sites are essential to ensure that all activities are being implemented effectively and on schedule. You'll also maintain daily activity records and prepare compelling case studies that highlight the project's impact.
Liaison & Networking: You will represent the Sushila Foundation and coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, corporate partners, and other institutions in the North Eastern Region (NER).
Capacity Building: You'll organize and lead training sessions, workshops, and exposure visits to equip farmers with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in agriculture and rural development. The ideal candidate will have a degree in:
BSc. Agriculture
MSc. Agriculture
Agribusiness Management
MBA
or be a recent graduate with a passion for this field.
While the salary range is ₹25,000-₹30,000 per month, it can be negotiated based on your experience.
