Transforming Rural Healthcare: Join Piramal Foundation as a Project Coordinator in Tripura 🇮🇳

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of rural communities? Piramal Foundation is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Project Coordinator to join their team in South Tripura or Gomati, Tripura. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale initiative focused on transforming public healthcare systems and improving health outcomes at the grassroots level.

About the Role

As a Project Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of community engagement and health promotion. Your work will directly support the Digital Bharat Collaborative (DBC), a project designed to build a robust digital delivery platform that ensures quality healthcare is accessible to all, especially in remote areas. This isn't just a desk job; it's a chance to be hands-on in the field, working directly with the communities you serve.

The successful candidate will be a key player in a wide range of activities, including:

  • Community Mobilization: You'll be the bridge between Piramal Foundation and the community, mobilizing women, adolescents, and local leaders to participate in project activities. This involves building trust and creating awareness about crucial topics like maternal and child health, nutrition, and government schemes.

  • Health Promotion and Awareness: You'll organize and facilitate health screening camps, immunization drives, and awareness campaigns on hygiene and sanitation (WASH). You'll also be involved in practical initiatives like setting up Nutri gardens and conducting sessions on menstrual hygiene.

  • On-the-Ground Support: You'll provide essential day-to-day support and supervision to Community Health Volunteers (CHVs), ensuring they are equipped to conduct home visits, follow-ups, and maintain accurate field records.

  • Collaboration & Partnership: A core part of this role is liaising with frontline government workers, including ASHAs, ANMs, and AWWs. You'll facilitate convergence with various local departments—Health, ICDS, and Education—to ensure a coordinated approach to healthcare delivery.

  • Monitoring and Reporting: You'll play a vital role in tracking project progress, maintaining detailed records, and contributing to weekly updates and documentation.

Who They're Looking For

Piramal Foundation is looking for someone with a strong background in social work, public health, rural development, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a Graduate or Postgraduate degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a health-related project.

Essential skills include excellent verbal and written communication, strong documentation abilities, and basic computer proficiency. The foundation is particularly keen on local candidates who have a deep understanding of the region and its communities.

This role offers a chance to be part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to creating high-impact solutions through partnerships and systemic change. If you're a proactive, empathetic individual ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
