Core Responsibilities: From Data to Action

The Project Officer will be at the heart of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) projects. The role involves a blend of field research, community engagement, and administrative navigation:

• Socio-Economic Diagnostic Studies: You will conduct in-depth studies to understand the living conditions in mining-impacted villages and evaluate the effectiveness (or gaps) of current government schemes.

• Community Mobilization: A key aspect of the role is conducting Gram Sabhas and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercises. These sessions help identify grassroots needs to form the basis of the Annual Action Plans.

• Stakeholder Management: You will facilitate the approval of these action plans by liaising with the Managing/Executive Committee and the Governing Board of the DMF.

• Project Oversight: Implementation doesn't happen behind a desk. You will conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, while "raising flags" when obstacles arise.
