Core Responsibilities: From Data to Action
The Project Officer will be at the heart of the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) projects. The role involves a blend of field research, community engagement, and administrative navigation:
Socio-Economic Diagnostic Studies: You will conduct in-depth studies to understand the living conditions in mining-impacted villages and evaluate the effectiveness (or gaps) of current government schemes.
Community Mobilization: A key aspect of the role is conducting Gram Sabhas and Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) exercises. These sessions help identify grassroots needs to form the basis of the Annual Action Plans.
Stakeholder Management: You will facilitate the approval of these action plans by liaising with the Managing/Executive Committee and the Governing Board of the DMF.
Project Oversight: Implementation doesn't happen behind a desk. You will conduct regular field visits to monitor progress, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, while "raising flags" when obstacles arise.
