Lead Educational Change: AIF Seeks Regional Program Manager in New Delhi
New Delhi, India – The American India Foundation (AIF), a leading non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating social and economic change in India, has announced a significant career opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader. This pivotal role offers a chance to drive high-impact educational initiatives across North India. The deadline to apply for this position is September 20, 2025.
About the American India Foundation (AIF)
For over two decades, the American India Foundation has been a transformative force, committed to improving the lives of India’s most underprivileged communities, with a sharp focus on women, children, and youth. Founded in the wake of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake as a joint humanitarian effort by then Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and U.S. President Bill Clinton, AIF has impacted over 21 million lives across 35 states and union territories.
AIF tackles multidimensional poverty through strategic interventions in education, public health, and livelihoods. As a registered Trust in India, AIF operates with the highest standards of financial governance, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that every resource is managed responsibly to fulfill its mission.
Driving Impact Through Flagship Education Programs
The new Regional Program Manager will spearhead two of AIF's cornerstone education programs:
Learning and Migration Program (LAMP): This program directly addresses the educational challenges faced by children of migrant families, who are at high risk of dropping out, falling into child labor, or suffering from climate-induced displacement. LAMP ensures these children remain in school by providing remedial learning, strong foundational skills, and a special focus on STEM education through modern Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) and digital resources. Since 2006, LAMP has reached 1.71 million children and guided 5,562 villages toward quality education.
Digital Equalizer (DE): Envisioning a world where all children from underserved communities are prepared for a successful career, the DE program bridges India’s digital divide. By integrating technology into under-resourced public schools (Grades 6-10), DE transforms classrooms into interactive learning hubs. The program trains teachers in modern techno-pedagogy and STEM methodologies, inspiring a love for learning in students. To date, DE has empowered 9.03 million children with interactive STEM experiences and trained over 257,000 teachers.
