Your Contribution: Driving Impact Through Data and Oversight

As an Associate, RM&E, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening Room to Read's educational initiatives across Uttarakhand. Reporting directly to the Officer, RM&E, you'll be instrumental in data analysis, quality assurance, and capacity building. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing monitoring and assessment data to pinpoint crucial programmatic insights.

  • Aiding in the creation of impactful presentations that highlight key program trends and findings.

  • Refining, translating, and formatting assessment tools for maximum effectiveness.

  • Supporting the preparation and administration of critical assessments, encompassing both government-led and internal evaluations.

  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy, conducting thorough quality checks, identifying discrepancies, and facilitating necessary corrections in collaboration with the Officer, RM&E.

  • Providing vital on-ground support during training and follow-up sessions to enhance understanding and proper utilization of tools.

  • Collaborating closely with the Officer, RM&E, and the state team on diverse RM&E and program-related assignments.

  • Identifying core issues related to program quality and establishing clear connections between monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Undertaking regular travel throughout the year across the state to oversee M&E work implementation.

Who We're Seeking: Skills and Experience

Room to Read is looking for a committed individual who aligns with their mission and possesses the following qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Social Sciences, Education, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a closely related field.

  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation.

  • Experience with Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) is a plus.

  • Proven hands-on experience in data handling, cleaning, and validation.

  • Strong capabilities in data analysis and data visualization, including the creation of dashboards.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Survey CTO.

  • The ability to effectively multitask, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Willingness to travel frequently for monitoring activities across the state.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Hindi.
