ChildFund India, a leading child-focused development organization, is on the lookout for a talented Specialist, Business Development-Proposal Writer. This full-time, on-site role, based in either Bengaluru or Delhi, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a mission that empowers children from marginalized communities to become confident and responsible adults. The position reports directly to the Director, Business Development and Sustainability.

The Heart of the Role: Storytelling for Social Impact

The Proposal Writer is a crucial member of the team, tasked with transforming program ideas into compelling narratives that resonate with donors and secure vital funding. This isn't just about writing; it's about synthesizing complex information into powerful stories that highlight ChildFund's impact and vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing high-quality proposals, concept notes, and expressions of interest (EOIs).

• Crafting engaging donor reports, case studies, and pitch decks.

• Researching and aligning content with donor priorities.

• Editing and proofreading materials for clarity, consistency, and compliance.

• Managing a content library and donor templates to streamline the process.

This role requires a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking, demanding a professional who can effectively collaborate with technical and program teams to create persuasive and well-structured documents.

Who They're Looking For

ChildFund India is seeking a professional with a graduate or postgraduate degree in Communications, Development, English, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 7-8 years of experience in proposal writing or development communications and a proven track record of leading the writing for large funding or grant applications.

Critical qualifications include:

• Exceptional storytelling and editing skills.

• In-depth knowledge of CSR and FCRA-compliant formats.

• Familiarity with key social themes such as child rights, WASH, and education.

• Excellent time management and a proactive, self-driven approach.
