The Role and Responsibilities

NalandaWay is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work closely with children aged

3-6 years, their families, and Anganwadi workers in community settings. The role is centered on promoting early childhood development through engaging and creative methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Sessions: Leading early childhood education (ECE) sessions using lesson plans based on play, stories, and art.

  • Creative Engagement: Demonstrating creative activities and storytelling techniques in the classroom.

  • Community Support: Conducting sessions for the parents and families of young children and supporting the training of Anganwadi workers.

  • Data and Reporting: Collecting and managing data on children's learning and program progress. This also involves documenting success stories, challenges, and writing brief reports or case studies.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate should be committed to making a difference in early childhood education. The essential requirements are:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience working with young children.

  • Location: Must be based in or around Noida.

  • Qualifications: A minimum qualification of B.El.Ed, B.Ed, a degree in Social Sciences/Arts, or a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education with NTT.

  • Skills: Exposure to facilitating sessions through non-formal, play-based methods is crucial. Applicants must have strong communication skills, the ability to think quickly, and proficiency in MS Office.

  • Languages: Proficiency in Hindi (reading, writing, speaking) and a working knowledge of English are required.
